D.A.V. P.P.S. Panchkula organized an anti-cracker rally in the Police Lines, Panchkula to sensitize the students and residents about the hazardous effects of crackers. The rally was flagged off by the Principal Ms. VandanaTripathi with an objective to spread the message ‘Let’s Celebrate a Green Diwali’. She apprised the students of the need of creating a clean and pollution-free environment. Students carrying inspiring and vibrant placards with slogans, urged everyone to celebrate a joyous and sparkling Diwali with colourful candles and eco-friendly decoratives. As a part of rally students also brought forefront the adverse impact to health and environment to all residents and requested them to celebrate this Diwali without crackers. All the students participated in the rally with a lot of zest and enthusiasm. The rally gave the students a platform where they presented their views and brought awareness regarding various environmental issues.

D.A.V. P.P.S., Panchkula conducted special assembly in the School on the topic festival of lights - Diwali. The assembly started with the Morning Prayer followed by reading of Mahatma Gandhi's autobiography, thought and news updates. This was followed by speeches where the students were made aware about the spiritual significance of the festival. This was followed by beautiful songs by the students of kindergarten and primary classes which were enjoyed by all. The school also witnessed an anti crackers awareness rally, wheel pottery activity, Rangoli contests and paper lantern contests during the week long celebrations in the school. Principal of the school Ms Vandana Tripathi wished all the students a very happy and a prosperous Diwali and concluded the assembly with a message "to follow and keep the promises towards mother earth in mind while taking any actions".
